Conceivable Conflicts

Four conflicts between the Tutsi:
  • The Tutsi's were considered superior to the Hutu's because they have a longer, more Europeon looking nose. Because of their perceived Europeon descent, they gave political rule to the minority Tutsis. This lead to bitterness and resentment on the part of the Hutu's because they had no say in their lives simply because they had a flatter nose.
  • The Hutu's became upsett when the Tutsi took over their land.
  • The tribes were placed together to migrate in with the Hutus because they shared the same language. They inner married. The Tutsis were considered superior because they were educated. The Hutus became upsett when the Tutsis took over their land and power.
  • They had an ethnically-based hatred between themselves for a long time. The Tutsi were light-skinned, slender, with long noses while the Hutus were dark-skinned, short, and stocky.

This was a senseless conflict, killing over 500,000 people in 3 short months. I pray that they have learnt that the color of your skin or length of your nose does not make more superior or less that the other person. The educated Tutsi's should have used their education and influence to bring the country together instead of alienating and suppressing the majority Hutus. Fear and insecurity is such a dangerous thing, it can cause you to do the unthinkable...

I'm trying to grasp their thinking in an "Un-Americanized" way and I simply cannot understand their logic. However, for this team, I have to say you did a pretty good job developing the graphics; however, you need to proofread the typo's. This is a quick way to lose an argument, even if you're right!
